Investing in Tomorrow Through Savings: Board Chair Urges Financial Discipline

ADEPA Teachers’ Co-operative Credit Union has renewed its call for members to embrace a stronger savings culture as a foundation for long-term financial security and sustainable wealth creation.

Speaking during the Union’s 20th Annual General Meeting and 55th Anniversary Celebration in Agona Swedru, Board Chairperson Dr. Mrs. Dorothy Adentwi-Hayford emphasized the importance of prudent financial planning and responsible money management. She encouraged members to prioritize savings and reduce overreliance on loans, noting that disciplined financial habits contribute significantly to personal and family prosperity.

Dr. Adentwi-Hayford also urged parents and guardians to instill the values of saving and financial responsibility in younger generations. According to her, developing positive financial habits early in life helps build resilient households and promotes economic stability within communities.

The message aligns with ATCCU’s longstanding mission of empowering members through financial education, affordable financial services, and opportunities for economic advancement.

As the Union celebrates more than five decades of service, it remains committed to helping members secure their future through savings, investment, and responsible financial decision-making.
