ADEPA Teachers’ Co-operative Credit Union successfully held its 20th Annual General Meeting (AGM) alongside the celebration of its 55th Anniversary in Agona Swedru, bringing together members, management, and stakeholders to reflect on the Union’s achievements and future direction.
Held under the theme “Celebrating 55 Years of Growth in a Connected World,” the event highlighted the Union’s remarkable progress over the years and its continued commitment to delivering value to members. During her report, Board Chairperson Dr. Mrs. Dorothy Adentwi-Hayford announced significant improvements in key performance indicators for the 2024 financial year. Savings grew by 62 percent, member shares increased by 29 percent, and total assets recorded a growth of 52.8 percent. Staff strength also expanded from 96 to 125 employees.
Chief Executive Officer Mr. Joseph Acquaye praised the Union’s transformation from a small teacher-led initiative established in 1970 into a strong financial institution with multiple branches serving thousands of members. He reaffirmed management’s commitment to innovation, employment creation, and excellent member service.
The AGM also recognized outstanding customers, former board members, and long-serving staff for their contributions to the growth and success of the Union. The celebration served as both a reflection on ATCCU’s achievements and a renewed commitment to sustainable growth in the years ahead.
